RARE 1789 George Washington Inaugural Button, Eagle and Star  —  GWI-12 Variety
This button has 63 incuse dots or indentations forming the outer border.
Within the border is another border of fine lines. 
This piece was dug on private property a few years ago near Charlottesville, Virginia
It’s been gently washed with soap and warm water, to get the dirt and mud off.
Cleaning will be left to the new owner.
The shank is missing from the back.
Measures approximately 35mm in diameter and 1mm thick
